Well, this is my final entry in this blog. Its been a wild ride - met some good people, loss some good ones as well. Its time for this chapter to close and to write the next chapter. As you have notice, this is my first post in like 3 months. Ive been just been busy and been twittering more.
But I have decided to come back to blogging since not everything can be fitted into 140 characters. It won't be here though - it will be at http://chiemps.blogspot.com
So much memories - in the next few days, I will go down memory lane and revisit my past blog post. Then close this blog forever.
Thanks for the friendship... thanks for the memories.
I bid you goodbye... for now.

June is almost over - can't believe that half of the year will be over in like 7 days. Next thing you know, it will be holiday season once more. I really need to start planning about taking a vacation.
Last weekend was relatively quiet. I just chilled and hang out at my place. Its nice to just don't do nothing once in awhile and just appreciate the stillness of the moment. I did do some outdoor stuff but nothing that exciting. I did cook two dishes though - broil beef necks and beef stew with baby corns and sweet peppers in black bean sauce. I also got some sweet corns and boiled them. I'm all set for awhile.
I finally played some hoops last thursday after a half year of non-playing. It sure was good to be playing again but I played poorly though making only one shot out of the many attempts. I do hope to play better this week. I was aching though on friday.
It was father's day last sunday - since my pops far away, I just emailed him which was the best way to reach him under this circumstances. Sure miss having the father's day lunch/dinner with my family - those where truly fun times because we would just sit down for hours at the restaurant and just eat and laugh at the same time. Aaahhh....
I also turned a year older last week. Didn't really do anything special. They did have a cake for me at work - it was like a brushfire. I told one person like 2 weeks ago and next thing you know, everyone knew about it. See, I'm not really that kind of a person who tells everyone when my birthday is - and the only reason I told my co-worker was because we were talking about birthdays. Anyway, it sure was nice to just sit down with my colleagues and have some ice cream cake. And they even spelled my name right. Maybe when I turned 90 then I will have a big celebration.
I'm tired - I don't know why - maybe because I'm getting older - who knows...
Goodnight

So last week was probably the worst week ever. Everything was not working from the moment I go to work on Monday. It was just one of those week were I tried every possibly way to make something work and it still didn't. Then I had to deal with incompetency - grrr - what's make it worst is that I have to solve the problem that this person did and her boss didn't even say anything about it. Really f**k up my week. I was just glad when Friday afternoon arrived. I went home and just relaxed the entire weekend.
I'm really glad I have my own apartment. I was able to just relax and unwind after that grueling week without the need to deal with anyone else. I cooked... I cleaned... I watched some DVDs... Then only trip I made was going to a friend's house to watch Bride Wars, Gran Torino, and International. Bride Wars and Gran Torino were great movies but the International was so-so. Other than that, I just went to Starbucks near my place, ordered an Ice Mocha and just sat in their patio and finished Angels and Demons. The book and the movie sure has similarities but a lot of differences. And I mean A LOT!!! The plot was the same but the way it was told on the film and the book was different. The ending was different - even the beginning. I gotta do some movie reviews this week.
So its the start of the week, hmm, today wasn't that bad. Most were running smoothly - better than last Monday. Except for the fog while driving back home. But I'll take the fog than incompetency anytime.
Birthday is coming up soon.. another year will be added - ahhhh
Have a good night everyone

- What U Doin: watching 50 TV Phrases
Hmm.. so i had - finally - a long weekend and i really didn't do anything other than sit at home, sleep and watch TV. That's prolly the longest time I've stayed at home doing nothing. Ok ok - i did some house chores such as cleaning and cooking. But other than those two - nada. I only went out thrice - one was a trip upstate to picked up my new phone, another to go watch Angels and Demons and lastly - to go to get some produce. I did go out and run but that doesn't involved driving anywhere.
As I stated previously, I got a new phone. I only got it as an advance birthday gift to myself and since the number 5 key on my previous phone is acting up already (too much texting). I got a Nokia 7510 supernova phone. I wanted the intrigue but it was only being introduced - as of yesterday - for a certain provider. So I settled for the 7510. I was supposed to have gotten it last wednesday but i keep on missing the FedEx delivery. And since they cannot estimate their delivery time, I was playing cat and mouse with the delivery van. I went home every lunch time but they would deliver it later. Then on their final attempt, I went home late only for them to come at an earlier time. Geez, so I had to drive 102 miles round trip on saturday just to pick my phone up. Was it worth it? Most definitely. It surely an upgrade to what I use to have and its my first flip-phone. It surely an improvement on Nokia part as well. Of course I locked myself out of it that night but was able to unlock myself the next day (happens to me all the time). The only thing was moving my addressbook to the new phone - a little nuisance but it was alright at the end.
I finally had a chance to watch Angels and Demons yesterday after watching the Angels and Demons special on the History Channel. To those who don't know, Angels and Demons is a Dan Brown's novel about Illuminati - a secret society of scientist who planned to destroy religion by destroying the seat of it - Vatican City - during the time of Conclave. And its the prequel to the Da Vinci Code. The Illuminati stole antimatter - the particle that was the basis of the creation - from CERN Institute (which is a real scientific research institute) and planned to used it to eradicate Vatican City to revenge what the church has done to them. So the Vatican asked the help of Harvard professor Robert Langdon (played by Tom Hanks) - a well-known symboligist - to figure out the path of illumination which would lead them to the whereabouts of the bomb. I would say that it is better than Da Vinci Code in the sense that its more visual, the story line wasn't dragged as much as Da Vinci and had more action sequence. Since they weren't allowed to film in Vatican - they had to create most of the backdrops and they were stunning - almost the real thing. The action sequence were thrilling and would keep you slightly off your seat. The characters played their parts superbly. I would highly recommend this film.
Anyway, the only bad thing about a long weekend is the stack of work thats waiting for you when you come in. Ayyyy - I was busy even during my lunch break that my brain didn't have time to just relax and unwind. Oh well, good thing working out doesn't need a lot of brain power. hahaha
Have a good night everyone!
