Hope you all had a good mother's day celebration.
Weekend was alright, surely needed the sleep from last week. I got home friday and by 8pm, I was asleep on the couch and didnt wake up till about 9am saturday. I sure needed that much sleep and woke up feeling fresh. So I went about doing my things before heading out at night to go and catch Star Wars. I must say that JJ Abrams did justice to the movie. The actors played their roles really well and most of the characters were defined on how they become members of the USS Enterprise except for Zulu. The special effects was superb - not too much CGI which made it more realistics (in the future sense). Overall, who would surely enjoy this movie.
Alright, the movietime was 8:30pm but me and my buddy got to the moviehouse around 7:30pm and surprisingly, no line outside. We did found out that they did have a line around 8pm. So I guess we were lucky to go in first and get some good seats for the digital showing.
So sunday was mother's day. Since my mom is far away, I greeted her on Saturday and then on Sunday I greeted some of the mother figures I have (yep, I have a couple..ssshh). I did get invited to dinner that night and sure enough was stuff to the full extent. We went to this Italian restaurant and had - for appetizers - fried calamari, steamed mussels and garlic knots. Let me step back for a moment, I was pretty hungry before we even got to the place and when the bread came out, I was just munching it down. By the time I was finished with the appetizers and had 2 glasses of homemade wine, I was already half-way full. So I ordered this seafood medly which I cannot remember the name and when it came it, it look like its for at least 2 people. Geez, the whole table was looking at what I have. Anyway, I started eating and as expected, I was the last one to finish my food. I surely needed that Cappuccino to push all the food down. haha. After that, we went back to their house and had some ice cream cake from Carvel before just relaxing for the night.
Then last night, I went to Citifield for the first time this year to root for the Mets against the Braves. We got to the ballpark early since it was my first time and the park looks good - if not, better than Shea. The Mets were in a 7 game winning streak and sadly lost due to 2 errors. Now I have to really go back and watch another game or two so that I will have a winning record. It sure was depressing seeing your home team losing.
Alrighty, thats all for now.. time to get some snooze - gotta have some reserves before the weekend.
