- How I Feel:
its the Monday after that wicked snowstorm.. sheesh.. reminds me that I have to get snow tires.
The storm started on friday at around 11am. I wished it would have started earlier though because I looked out and decided to go to work knowingly that it wont snow till late in the morning. I got in and surely enough there wasn't a lot of peeps in at work. Anyway, I did some work and around 11am, it started snowing. I was going to leave but then we recieved an email from the president stating that we could go but have to log in normal hours. Geez, if I know it was going to be that way I would have not come in at all. (sorry for complaining) Anyway, I left around 12:30 (plus a hour for lunch) and surely enough, the roads were already a messed. I had to take major roads and not to mention drive really slow to get home. Normally, it would take me about 15-20 minutes to get home but it took me an hour. I should not be complaining since some people took 4 hours just to get home. I got home safely with a little slippage and - luckily - spunning 180 only once.
The roads werent cleared the next day and it sure was another pain getting to where I need to be. I - again - had to drive slowly and - instead of taking the main roads - decided to take the back roads. Some where cleared while some still have snow on them and getting up on some hills was nerve racking. I was just praying that my car would manage to get up the hill safely (thank God it did). Once I got to my destination, I relaxed a lil bit before heading out briefly to buy a shovel. Walmart was sold out and Shoprite had 7 left. I didnt need to shovel since I live in a apartment but still need one to clear around my car. Anyway, it wasnt supposed to snow that saturday but it came at night time so I hurriedly but carefully drove home - this time without any problems.
So Sunday was spent all day at home. It was good since I managed to do a lot of stuff that I need to do. I made my holiday truffles and finished up my christmas cards which I sent early this morning. I moved some furniture around and cooked some meals. The storm ended midday Sunday so I cleared my car of all the snow and let the rest melt underneath the rays of the sun.
Its blistering cold today even though the sun is shining brightly. Some of the snow should melt but others might turn to black ice which make the commute a little though. Luckily, it wasnt as bad as I though it would. I just got home from hanging out with my buddy who is visiting his family for the holidays from AL.
Alrighty, Im tired and sleepy.. 3 more days and its Christmas..
